Pillar of Achievement - 2015

For the past 35 years Howard Zuckerman has been producing Southern California sports events for ABC, CBS and NBC Television, and was the ABC College Football Game of the Week producer in the 1980's. He also produced NBC's College Basketball Game of the Week and CBS's yearly Acapulco Cliff Diving event.

For 15 years, Zuckerman produced the nationally syndicated 'College Basketball Game of the Week', including the first famous national telecast of the 1969 UCLA at Houston game in the sold-out Astrodome. That was the highest rated TV sports event at the time.

He has produced in the NBA for the Clippers and Warriors; for the Pac-10 and the Big West; and Fresno State and Nevada University Games of the Week for many years. He is credited with 'jump starting' the careers of many of today's most famous sports announcers through his unique techniques in the field.
