Dani Yudin, a four-year starting catcher for UCLA, was a key player on UCLA’s 2010 NCAA Softball Championship Team. She was an All-Pac-10 selection in 2010 and 2012, after being on the All-Freshman Team in 2009.
During the 2010 NCAA title year, Dani had a .336 batting average and hit 9 home runs. She was at her best at the College World Series hitting 3 home runs, and in the final two title games (vs. Arizona) had a hit and two walks in both games. Dani had a strong junior year as one of the team’s leading hitters, with a .453 on base percentage, and did not commit an error in 184 chances.
Yudin ranks among UCLA’s all-time catchers and was also a top student. Dani was a four-time All-CIF honoree at Tesoro High School in Orange County, and All-State selection. She hit .449 as a senior and was nominated for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Top Scholars-Athlete Award while earning her UCLA scholarship. She is currently Assistant Softball Coach at Cal State San Marcos.
