One of the state’s top basketball coaches, Todd Wolfson has been the head coach at St. Francis High School in La Canada since 2015 and won his second title as State Co-Champion in 2020. He is a rarity to have won State crowns at two schools. He won 30 games and was the 2AA Coach of the Year in the title season. From 2008-2015, he was the successful head coach at Chaminade High School in West Hills. In 2009, Todd was the youngest person to ever win CIF Coach of the Year, and the youngest basketball coach to ever win a CIF State Championship. He was California State Champion and CIF Coach of the Year in 2014, winning the title after finishing CIF runner-up in 2013. He was the youngest to ever win Coach of the Year in 2009. Todd first started coaching at his high school alma mater, El Camino Real High School, and took an 0-23 program to 14 wins in his first year and 18 in year two before moving to Chaminade.
Todd was an All-City Player at El Camino Real High School — finishing as the school’s all-time leading rebounder, averaging 23 points and 9 rebounds per game his senior year, and he was the only freshman to play varsity in 1999. He was selected Outstanding Male Athlete at the 2001 Maccabiah Games when he helped USA to win the basketball silver medal. Todd also won a silver medal in 2000 as youngest player on the team. He has also coached in the ‘Rising Stars’ youth basketball program since 2004. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Cal State Northridge, and Master’s degree from Concordia in Irvine.
