Wold, Bill
Basketball - 2003
Although basketball was his preferred sport, Bill Wold hit .566 at Fairfax High School in 1956 and was named to the Los Angeles All City Baseball Team.
At Los Angeles Valley Junior College, he was All-League and All-Southern California in basketball in 1957 and 1958; and named to the 1958 All-League baseball second team.
Moving to Oregon State the following year, Bill was a first team guard for two seasons of Pac-10 basketball at OSU. He was named to the 1959 Far West Classics All-Star Team and was All Coast Honorable Mention.
From 1966 to 1968, Bill played for the Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball team, and was named to the 1967 Israel National five.
For the next thirty years following his U.S. return from Israel, Bill taught high school and coached boys and girls basketball.
