Torres, Dara

Swimming - 2004

Los Angeles born–Beverly Hills raised, Dara Torres is one of the most successful and enduring athletes in Olympic history, male or female. Her nine Olympic medals, the second most for an American woman, and fourth most (tie) for all women, were earned over four Olympic Games.

* 1984 – gold 4x100m freestyle relay
* 1988 – silver 4x100m medley relay, bronze 4x100m freestyle relay
* 1992 – gold, 4x100m freestyle relay
* 2000 – gold (world record) 4x100m freestyle relay, gold (world record) 4x100m medley relay, bronze 50m freestyle, bronze 100m freestyle, bronze 100m butterfly
