Fencing - 2020

A San Diego native, Soren Thompson was one of the nation’s elite fencers for most of the new millennium. Thompson competed in both the 2004 and 2012 Summer Olympics — individually finishing in 7th place in the Athens Games (the highest for any American since 1956).

He was part of an American team that won first place at the 2012 World Championships — the first such medal in national history.

During his college career, Thompson was a two-time All-American at Princeton.
