Soccer - 2018
Daniel Steres started playing club soccer at age 11, winning one club title. Then, he attended Calabasas High School, and was an All-CIF selection as well as a three-time member of the JCC Maccabi USA Championship Teams. He then went to San Diego State where he was an All-Pac-10 selection on the field, and an All-Academic selection in the classroom. He was named to the Jewish Sports Review All-American College Team, finishing with 13 goals in four years.
Steres was drafted in the 28th round of the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft and made it to the LA Galaxy II in 2014. He was named team captain in 2015, as he led the team to the United Soccer League Championship final, earning Defender of the Year both seasons he played there. He moved up to the LA Galaxy in December of 2015 and scored a goal in his debut against DC United. He was recently re-signed for the 2018 MLS season, continuing to improve as a defender.
