Slavin, Howard

Officiating - 1993

Trial attorney Howard Slavin has been a National Football League official since 1987. He officiates on Jerry Markbreit NFL crew on weekends away from his law practice. In 1992, Slavin officiated his first NFL playoff games.

After graduating from USC and the California College of Law in 1967, Slavin joined the Los Angeles unit of the California Football Officials Association, and the long road to the NFL began. Slavin first officiated Pop Warner and high school 'B' and 'C' football games. He eventually found his way through high school varsity football, junior colleges, the PCAA, and the Pac-lO to the National Football League in 1987.
