Football - 2016

Mitchell Schwartz has played a combined eight Pac-12 and NFL seasons and has amazingly started all 115 games his teams have played going into the 2016 pro year and hasn’t missed a snap with his amazing durability. He signed one of the richest offensive lineman right tackle contracts in NFL history when he inked a deal to start for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016. The Cleveland Browns selected the 6-5, 320-pound Schwartz in the second round of the 2012 NFL college draft. He started every game (64-for-64) for the Browns all four seasons in Cleveland before moving to Kansas City. In his 2012 rookie season, he made the Pro Football Focus All-Rookie team.

Schwartz started all 51 games while at California at either left or right tackle during his four years in Berkeley and earned All-Pac-12 first team notice as a senior after a second-team selection as a junior while also making the Pac-12 All-Academic Team. A football and baseball standout at Palisades Charter High School like his older brother Geoff, Mitch scored a 35 on the NFL Wonderlic Cognitive Ability test at the combine where the average NFL player score is 21. The brothers wrote a book in 2016 called ‘Eat My Schwartz: Our Story of NFL Football, Food, Family, and Faith’ available on Google books.
