Ross, Cary Alan

Track & Field - 2000

As UCLA’s #1 high jumper in 1968 and 1969, Ross jumped 6’10” or better eight times in 1969. His career best jump was 7’0 5/8”. In the 1969 NCAA Tournament, Cary’s 6’10 3/4” earned him a 14th place finish.

A Beverly Hills High School graduate, Ross won a gold medal in the high jump and a silver medal in javelin at the 1969 Maccabiah Games in Israel. He met his wife, Nancy Spitz Ross (a winner of five gold medals and one silver), at the ‘69 Maccabiah.
