A 45-year media veteran, Rosenbaum was as assistant editor of the Official Boxing Record (1952-53) while still in his teens. He served as a sports reporter for the Beverly Hills Citizen 1959-63, was editor of the California Bowling News (1959-63) and, in 1998, was president of the Bowling Writers Association of America.
Rosenbaum launched his own p.r. firm, Headlines, Ink, in 1963, while continuing to be a sports stringer for the Valley Times and Hollywood Citizen News. He wrote a bowling and billiards column and covered auto racing.
Ray has served as publicist for the California Racing Assocation and various other motor racing clients. His client list has included: World’s Championship of Billiards, billiards legend Willy Mosconi, Lawry’s Restaurants (for whom he developed the Rose Bowl-skewed “Beef Bowl”), World Table Tennis Championships, and the Western Pro Bowling League.
Rosenbaum has received citations from the L.A. City Council and the County Board of Supervisors for his special efforts.
