Price, Ron

Football - 2008
In 17 years as a high school head coach, Ron Price’s teams made playoffs appearances 15 times, and no team of his ever finished with a record below .500. In 1980, Price was L.A. Times “Central City Coach of the Year”, and a decade later was 1990 Times “Westside Coach of the Year”.
Following 15 seasons as an assistant or specialty coach at various high schools, Price was handed head coaching duties at Crenshaw High in 1976, were he developed a 50-29 record through 1984.
In between head coach assignments at Fairfax High (1988-91) and Palisades High (1996-2000), Price spent two tours–1985-87 and 1992-95–as offensive line coach at Santa Monica City College. During his years at Fairfax, the Lions registered a 30-12 won-loss mark. At Pali High, his Dolphins were 44-15. Price’s overall head coaching record is 124-56.
