Miller, Norm

Baseball - 2014

Van Nuys High School star Norm Miller was signed by L.A. Angels in 1964, and broke into the Major Leagues with Houston in September, 1965.

He was an outfielder for the Astros for the better part of eight seasons, 1965-1973, and Atlanta Braves 1973–74. A back injury prematurely ended his baseball career at age 28.
The good fielding-light hitting Miller appeared in 540 MLB games, delivering 325 hits, 24 homeruns, and a career batting average of .238.

In 2009, he published his memoir: To all My Fans, From ‘Norm, Who’?
