Joel Meyers was the radio, then television voice of the Los Angeles Lakers from the start of the 2000s through 2010. The versatile Meyers did both LA Dodgers and California Angels baseball broadcasts in the later 1980s and into 1990s and also did Los Angeles/Oakland Raider football broadcasts. He even broadcast major league soccer. He came from St. Louis to Southern California in 1983 to be the Sports Director of KMPC radio and began broadcasting both UCLA football and basketball games as well as hosting a nightly talk show. He is regarded as one of the best of all-time.
