Bob Lyons was hired as an accounting instructor for Pierce College’s business program back in 1964, and he has served the school in just about every possible way since. Lyons was the Pierce College head baseball coach for nine total years across two stints, before then taking over as the Pierce College Athletic Director from 1996-2006.

Off the baseball diamond, Lyons’ notable achievements include starting a varsity women’s soccer team at the college in 2001 and re-starting a men’s basketball program in 2002.

Lyons was inducted into the Pierce College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.
