Lee Jenkins, who currently resides in Los Angeles, is one of the top sportswriters in the United States. Jenkins became very interested in Journalism at The Bishop' s School in San Diego where he played second base for the baseball team. He received the Grantland Rice-Fred Russell Thoroughbred Racing Association Sportswriting Scholarship. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1999 utilizing the scholarship, and began writing for the Orange County Register covering UCLA football and basketball.
Jenkins then went to the New York Times, where he covered the NBA along with other sports. For the past ten years, Jenkins has been the lead NBA writer for Sports Illustrated. He has been honored nationally many times for his sportswriting skills, and is considered one of the best of all-time.
