Fencing - 2022

Jennifer Horowitz, graduate from the Archer School for Girls in West Los Angeles, was the 2014 SCJSHOF Girl’s Athlete of the Year. She has been a nationally ranked fencer in various age brackets since she was 10 years old. At the age of 12, she won the United States Fencing Association’s Nationals. Since then, Jennifer has won multiple national championships in each age category in which she has competed. She has won gold medals twice in United States Fencing Association’s North America Cup. In Spring, 2012, she became the Gold Medalist in the US High School Fencing Championships. She also won gold medals at the 2013 US National Championships and 2013 US High School Championships, plus silver and bronze medals at the North American Cup, Junior Olympics, National Championships, and Division 1 Championships from 2010 to 2013. In the fall and winter of 2011 and 2012, Jennifer represented the United States in competitions in France, Germany, Sweden, and Slovakia. She placed 11th at the Junior World Cup in France, and won a silver medal in the 2013 Maccabi Games in Israel. In 2013, she was inducted into the National Jewish Museum Sports Hall of Fame, headquartered in Commack, New York. With a GPA above 3.9, she was a four-time member of US Fencing All-Academic Team. Jennifer graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University and is now finishing graduate school at both Harvard and USC after retiring from fencing in college.
