Durslag, Mel

“One of the sportswriting giants in Los Angeles. Mel Durslag was elected to the National Sportscaster and Sportswriters Hall of Fame in 1995.

Other than Jim Murray, Durslag was L.A.’s most prominent sports columnist since World War II. He wrote the Herald-Examiner’s front page sports column for nearly 30 years. Durslag was also a regular sports contributor to TV Guide, and his Herald Examiner column was syndicated nationally.
