Decker, Cody

Baseball - 2020

Cody Decker was a baseball standout at Santa Monica High School and UCLA, earning two All-Pac-10 selections and finishing his career ranked 7th in home runs in school history at the latter stop.

He was drafted by the Padres in 2009 and played for a decade primarily in the minor leagues — making a brief stop with the Padres’ major league team in 2015. Decker notably retired right after hitting a walk-off home run in a AAA game in July 2019, and he was the active leader in minor league home runs at the time of his retirement.
