Cline, Stan

Sports Artist - 2004

An artist-historian, Stan Cline began painting nostalgic scenes of the Los Angeles community in 1977. Among his ‘sports series’ works, which represent approximately 30% of his paintings, are: Wrigley Field (home of the original Los Angeles Angels) and Gilmore Stadium (home of the Hollywood Stars). He has also painted a number of other Pacific Coast League baseball stadiums.

* Has captured on canvas sixteen Major League Baseball stadiums around the country.
* Stan’s work also includes scenes of USC and UCLA football, the USC Marching Band, Santa Anita Race Track, and Del Mar Race Track.
