Marc Bluestone was a centerpiece of Fairfax High sports at the end of the 1950s, excelling in three sports for the Lions. Bluestone made his greatest impression on the basketball court, earning accolades for three years as the center for Fairfax.
Bluestone put an exclamation mark on his prep hoops career in 1960 by leading the Western League in scoring and finishing second among all scorers in the City Section. His prolific point production earned All-City and All-Western League honors, a follow-up to his All-City Second Team laurels from 1959.
Bluestone also achieved significant status in baseball and track and field, leading the Western League in batting average in 1959 to earn coveted all-league honors. Bluestone also was named All-Western League for his track & field accomplishments.
